Originally a St. Louis Cardnials fan due to the outstanding play of Ozzie Smith and the pretty
red colors, I became attracted to this team in the strike shortened year of '94 when they did somthing I never saw the cardnials
do.....Win. I stuck with them through their horrid 1995 season and as Donny baseball departed, it all began to pay off as
they reeled off 5 of the next 6 world series going for number 5th this year. Early february 2002, I got this
Yankee logo tatoo'd on my right calf.

The New Orleans Saints.....This underdog team, went from worst to first just like the rams
of 99 but the only difference is the superbowl ring for the rams, and a trip home for the saints......again. At least we won
a playoff game. Well in 1993, while playing tecmo superbowl for the Nintendo with my friends, I felt it was a nessicity to
pick my favorite NFL team of all time by closing my eyes and picking. Lucky for me I bypassed the packers by one and wound
up with the Saints. Not that it's a bad thing though, I enjoy rooting for the underdog. But a weird thing happened in the
season of 2000, They won, and won and won, in fact, they beat out the rams for the division titile and then beat St. Louis
again in the playoffs to not only prove they deserve to be the division champs, but to win their very first playoff game.
They didn't do well the following year (2001), but they made some nice offseason moves including trading Ricky Williams to
Miami, which, along with the division reslignment, which may help them improve for 2002.

The Phoenix Suns are by far in my opinion the second most
exciting team, only behind the Sacramento Kings and in a close third the LA Clippers. After the Suns lost to the bulls
in devistating fashion back in '93 in the finals, I felt it was my responsibility to become a Phoenix fan in '94. They were
fun to watch and although they never win the big games in the playoffs, They still give me hope everytime out there that it
may happen. I feel a Phoenix championship isn't to far down the road, but for now... The suns traded Jason Kidd to New
Jersery for Stephon Marbury, this may spark the suns offense and with Penny Hardaway coming back, this may be the year the
Suns at least take it to the next level and advance further into the playoffs.
:::update::: Since the last time I updated this section, the suns have missed the playoffs for the first time in 13 years,
and the Nets made it to the playoffs, clinching the #1 seed in the east. The suns have obtained the 9th pick in the draft
this year.

Back to the days of Nintendo, playing the NHL '94 game for
by EA Sports. Me and my friend played with the penguins all night and morning until we won the cup and it was so satisfying
that I took them under my wing.
